The Point of Healing
It has been almost 2 years since my life crawled into its chrysalis of transformation. In my minds eye I see the cauldron’s boil dissolving completely the all of my being into one giant liquid blob. It is nothing that resembles all the parts that created it yet the essence remains to remind me there once was something there.
And in that essence awaits endless potential. Not only a question of what it is but a greater curiosity of what it can become. What can be created from this source of limitless possibility?
The secret to accessing the full capacity of this potential lies in the shadows that keep us small. The beliefs that we aren’t enough. The place within where doubt stops faith from keeping our hearts open and our eyes from seeing the truth. It is where the mind creates illusion, feeding the shadows of our fears. Reminding us of every failure, adding weight to every challenge we face, and illuminating every point of reference we have collected to support the belief that we are not enough.
This not enough piece within me does not like knowing our time has come to shine. To release ourselves from the cocoon and allow our new wings to unfold. What if I can’t do it? What if I came out more fucked up than I started? What if I fall? What if I fail? What if all of this was for nothing? How can I trust it won’t just happen again? How can I trust myself this time? How can I trust the Divine?
So. Much. Fear.
And yet what is this fear really showing me?
Hope.
A small glimmer of light within the darkness.
The light within me that keeps me going. That reminds me there is something more than the shadows of my beliefs and experiences. A reminder of the essence of all that I am. The divine light within me. The calling of my heart. The belief that there is something more. And it is that light within me, the light of all that I am, that pulled me through the darkness. That lead me to the wisdom, healing, guidance, and love that supported me through this process. What felt like losing myself completely was the catalyst to bring me home. No longer running from the parts that scared me but leaning into the depths of my creations in order to become whole.
I know the calling of my heart. There is purpose for my light upon the earth. Yet in knowing this there are still parts of me afraid to shine. Afraid to trust. Afraid to let go of my need to control. Yet every healing, every teaching and every message I receive is asking me to do so. To believe that I am worthy. To believe that I am enough. To have faith in the divine, my mission and the path unfolding before me. But most of all to remember who I am. What I am. To honor and respect what that means and to embody the fullness of that as the all of me. One who is worthy. One who has had the courage to face the darkest parts within. One who has overcome and still chooses to lead with an open heart. One who is willing to choose vulnerability in the face of judgement and shame. One who believes in the power of love and the ability to change. One whose journey of shadow and light brings purpose and healing. One whose light is needed in this world.
And as I stand on this edge of taking flight, I am once again asked to have faith to be free. To surrender fully to the divine and trust that each step I take will be guided and supported in love. That I am free to be me. That I am free to shine. That is is time to allow my new wings to unfold for the world to see. That I am safe to stand in my purpose. That I am safe to be me.
